I’m Sue Plumtree, a Relationship Coach.
My business Embrace the True You became a member of ORB a year ago because I wanted to belong to an organisation that, like me, wants to change the world.
The form I was asked to complete made me reflect on how I live my own life in terms of the impact I have on the planet through my daily actions.
And it caused me to reflect on my core values and how I express them in all my interactions…
This is my story.
In 2021 I became seriously ill, an experience that transformed my ideas about who I wanted to be as a person, a wife and a coach.
Since I was unable to do much more than sit there and reflect, I came up with some life-changing insights.
One concerned how I wanted to be as a coach and my conclusions prompted me to change my approach from selling to serving which shows up in various ways.
One is that I offer a complimentary one-hour coaching conversation.
The intention is to explore where a person is now, where they would rather be, what their options are and the first steps that they could take in that direction.
I’m passionate about being the best coach I can possibly be and, to that end, I signed up for a 6-month Coaching and Self-Mastery program. As far as I’m concerned, learning is something that never ends.
To make my work more financially accessible I’ve developed a Love Bootcamp called ‘Love Yourself So You Can Love And Be Loved’.
I only accept 4 people so I can provide a deeper service to each participant.
My greatest joy is to see them blossom, become more self-confident, more comfortable with stronger personal boundaries, learn to trust themselves and make better choices.
But, best of all, is seeing them let go of the belief that they’re not good enough.
All of the above is how I express my core values of love, integrity, authenticity, acceptance, openness, and transparency.
I also bring everything I am and am in the process of becoming, to my marriage to Dave whom I met when we were both 70.
Dave has turned out to be the love of my life, my soulmate, my best friend, lover and husband.
We’ve been together for over 7 years and our love continues to deepen.
I was married for 37 unhappy years and, thanks to my first life coach, Alan, I learned how I too contributed to my own unhappiness and the breakdown of my marriage.
That was a painful but life-changing insight because it made me realise that I wasn’t the innocent bystander I liked to believe I was.
But, as painful as that insight was, I also learned that we can only change ourselves.
I like to share everything I learned, my mistakes, however painful, and my triumphs because, otherwise, what’s the point?
If you’re not happy in your life or your relationships, I’m happy to offer you a complimentary coaching conversation.
You can share with me where you are now and where you would like to be instead and, together, we can figure out how to get there.
